Canberra chefs join Floriade feast

Canberra chefs, restaurants and producers will feature in a new food program running alongside Floriade from September 12 to October 11.

Feast of Flowers will include cooking demonstrations, workshops and tastings, with local businesses including Lunetta, Such and Such, Les Bistronomes, Majura Valley Farm, BentSpoke Brewing Co and Underground Spirits taking part.

Chefs Tristan Rebbettes, Malcolm Hanslow, Clement Chauvin and Will Moyle will hold demonstrations during the festival, while Majura Valley Farm will run sessions on sustainable farming and growing.

Other events include grazing-box workshops from Groovy Grazing, matcha workshops from Teddy’s Matcha and sessions with Wiradjuri man Adam Shipp exploring native plants, traditional knowledge and Indigenous food culture.

More than 30 food and drink vendors will operate during Floriade, while NightFest will run from October 1 to 4. Further guest chefs are expected to be announced before the festival.
