Belconnen player takes NSW croquet title

Belconnen Croquet Club members Garry Thorpe and Nerida Gill have contested the final of the 2026 NSW Croquet Bronze Brooch Competition, with Thorpe taking the title.

The competition was held at the Lake Macquarie Croquet Centre in Newcastle from September 4-6, with players from clubs across NSW competing.

Thorpe defeated fellow Belconnen player Gill in the final.

The club will hold free Come and Try sessions at Belconnen Bowling Club from 10am-noon on September 29 and at Aranda Playing Fields from 10am-noon on October 8.
