Amazon Australia has expanded its free same-day delivery service to Canberra, allowing Prime members to receive eligible orders before 10pm if placed by 11am.

The service applies to more than one million products across categories including household goods, electronics, books, toys, clothing and beauty products, with free same-day delivery available on eligible orders over $49.

Amazon says the service is now available to most Canberra residents and joins existing same-day delivery offerings in Sydney and Perth.

The announcement follows Amazon’s April launch of grocery deliveries in Canberra through a partnership with Harris Farm Markets, offering same-day and next-day delivery to customers in more than 50 suburbs.

Amazon Australia country manager Matt Benham says customer demand for faster delivery options had driven the expansion into Canberra.
