Two store managers assaulted in Civic

A 45-year-old Belconnen man has been charged after allegedly assaulting two store managers in Civic on Tuesday. 

At about 12.20pm, police allege the man attended a store in the Civic and attempted to steal items.

When confronted by the store managers, the man allegedly became aggressive, shoving one manager and slapping, hitting, and pulling the hair of the other before leaving the premises.

The incident was reported to police, and officers quickly located and arrested the man nearby.

He is charged with two counts of common assault and minor theft.
