Motorcycle seized after rider caught speeding

Seized… police estimate the motorcycle was travelling at more than 120km/h in an 80km/h zone.

A 24-year-old O’Connor man had his black motorcycle seized on Monday morning after police caught him travelling at high speed westbound on Southern Cross Drive towards Kingsford Smith Drive in Scullin.

Police estimate the motorcycle, which wasn’t displaying registration plates, was travelling at more than 120km/h in the 80km/h zone.

The rider will appear before the ACT Magistrates Court at a later date.

Any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage of the motorcycle driving dangerously in the Scullin area should provide their contact details to police via the  Crime Stoppers ACT website.
