A man was taken to hospital after being assaulted by three males who broke into his Turner unit on Tuesday morning.
The alleged assailants ran from the MacArthur Avenue unit when police arrived. After a search, police found a 21-year-old man and 17-year-old boy hiding under cars at a building on Northbourne Avenue. They were arrested.
The boy was charged with aggravated burglary, attempting to take a motor vehicle without consent, and joint commission recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm. The man was charged with joint commission recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and unlawful possession of stolen property.
A search for the third male is underway.
