A 33-year-old police student at the NSW Police Academy in Goulburn has been stood down and his professional suitability is under review after allegedly driving into the academy’s boom gate just after midnight on Saturday.
Security officers found the man sitting in his car.
He was returned a positive result to a roadside breath test, and was arrested and taken to Goulburn Police Station, where a secondary breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.108.
The man was issued with a court attendance notice for driving with middle-range PCA and his NSW driver’s licence was suspended.
He will appear at Goulburn Local Court on July 16.
