Gungahlin gets a glimpse of budget largesse

Ahead of its 2025–26 ACT Budget, the government has announced spending across Gungahlin.

How much is not disclosed, but includes paying for early works for the development of a new health centre and future infrastructure, such as potential community facilities and a new Emergency Services Station, in Casey.

The 2025–26 Budget spending in Gungahlin also lists:

  • A new playground at the local shops in Amaroo.
  • Upgrades at the Palmerston group centre shops, enhancing accessibility, safety and public amenity.
  • New cricket nets at Bonner Oval.
  • Female-friendly change room upgrades at the Gungahlin Enclosed Oval (Crinigan Circle) and Harrison Oval.
  • A new walking and cycling path along Victoria Street in Hall.
