Police will charge a 33-year-old man with attempted murder and other offences following four shootings across the ACT earlier this year.
Between March 25 and 29, there were shootings in Greenway, where a man suffered minor injuries; Downer, where a pet dog was killed, and Watson, where a man was shot in the stomach, resulting in life-threatening injuries.
Police say that an examination of the scene in Watson revealed that the property had been shot at in the days before the male occupant being shot.
Police believed a group of three men were responsible for the four incidents and in April, the 33-year-old man was arrested for unrelated matters. He has been remanded in custody since his arrest.
As a result of evidence and forensic examination, police say they will lay an additional nine charges against the man, including attempted murder, three counts of committing an act endangering life and discharging a firearm at a building.
Police say enquiries into the identities of the two co-offenders are ongoing and anyone with any information is urged to contact the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
