Brisbane physical theatre company Circa presents Duckpond, a contemporary take on Swan Lake. The Playhouse, Canberra Theatre Centre, September 18-20.
The chimes of The National Carillon will ring out for UN International Day of Peace in the concert, Act Now for a Peaceful World, featuring songs of peace arranged and performed by carillonist Thomas Laue. Lake Burley Griffin, September 21.
The Italian Film Festival, the largest celebration of Italian cinema outside Italy, returns with a program of new releases. Palace Electric Cinemas, until October 22.
Locals and visitors are invited to explore more of Canberra through a new Canberra City Public Art Walking Trail. Featuring three self-paced routes. Maps are available at the Visitor Information Centre or online, including a Tuggeranong Public Art guide.

- The Woodwinds Group from the Band of the Royal Military College, Duntroon performs contemporary and classical works. Wesley Music Centre, Forrest, September 17.
- The Saturday Salon features the Neeman Duo, Edward and Stephanie. Tuggeranong Arts Centre, September 20.
- Alice Giles’s Harmonic Curves series will comprise harp and piano works by JS Bach, CPE Bach, Salzedo, Eakin, and Concertino in Jazz by Emile Deltour. Wesley Music Centre, September 21.
- The Royal School of Church Music’s ACT Branch presents international organist Martin Rein in recital. Wesley Uniting Church, Forrest, September 21.
- Shreyas Sunkaraneni performs in the Wesley Lunchtime Concert Series. Wesley Music Centre, September 24.
Stage
- The farce Lend Me a Tenor, directed by Cate Clelland, is at ACT Hub, Kingston, until September 27.
- Nigel Featherstone’s first full-length play, The Story of The Oars, with music by Jay Cameron. The Street Theatre, September 19-21.
- Kirsty Budding’s comedic play Cheetos and Consequences features a local cast as part of Multiple Skit-osis. TB Millar Hall, Bruce, September 20.
- The Festival of New Works continues with I Watched Someone Die on TikTok and Takatāpui by Māori artist Daley Rangi. The Courtyard Studio, September 19-21.
- Music of the Night presents a program of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s greatest musicals, from Phantom of the Opera to Joseph and His Technicolour Dreamcoat. The B, Queanbeyan, September 21.

- Bill Wood: Recollect shows a selection of the collected works, images and memorabilia of the late, popular ACT Arts Minister and his artist wife Bev. At Tuggeranong Arts Centre until October 11.
