Around 30 to 40 police and emergency personnel are searching near Duntroon for missing man Raymond Hingston, who police say they hold serious concerns for his welfare.

Mr Hingston, 48, has not been seen or heard from since about 9.30am on Tuesday and was last believed to be in the Duntroon area.

Police say he is described as Caucasian in appearance, pale complexion, medium build and short balding hair. He likely to be on foot and does not have a mobile phone with him.

Anyone who has seen Mr Hingston or who may have any information regarding his whereabouts should call 131444.
