Bottle shop attendant threatened with machete

A bottle shop attendant was threatened with a machete during an armed robbery at Kippax on Monday afternoon.

Police say a man and woman entered the store about 3.40pm before being confronted by staff and leaving.

After the attendant locked the doors, the man allegedly returned, smashed a glass panel and entered the store armed with a machete.

He allegedly threatened the attendant and demanded alcohol before stealing multiple bottles and fleeing.

Police are seeking witnesses to the incident.
