A 40-year-old Braddon man, who was on parole, has been charged with drug trafficking after he was stopped by police early Friday morning.
Police say about 3am on Friday, officers on patrol in Doonkuna Street saw the man riding an electric scooter without a helmet and allegedly failing to stop when directed.
He was detained a short time later.
Police allege a search of his belongings uncovered multiple clip-seal bags containing substances that presumptively tested positive as heroin and methylamphetamine.
He has been charged with drug trafficking, breaching parole and failing to wear a helmet while using a mobility device.
