A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car in Canberra’s north on Friday evening.

Police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Eastern Valley Way and Hennessy Street in Bruce about 6.15pm following reports of a crash involving a grey Ford Territory and a black Yamaha MT-09 motorcycle.

The rider was treated at the scene by witnesses and paramedics before being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has dash-cam footage of the vehicles travelling in the lead-up to the crash, to come forward.
