THERE will be additional household green waste collections on Saturday for severely impacted suburbs as part of clean-up efforts following the storm on December 8.
The ACT government also says free green waste skip bins will also be available soon at public places for people living in the most impacted suburbs.
The additional green waste bin collection on Saturday will take place in the following suburbs:
- Amaroo
- Charnwood
- Downer
- Dunlop
- Evatt
- Giralang
- Kaleen
- Ngunnawal
- Nicholls
- Palmerston
Residents should put their bin on the kerb ready for collection by 5am.
Alternatively, green waste can be dropped, off without charge, in:
- Symonston – Mugga Lane Resource Management Centre, Mugga Lane
- Belconnen – Canberra Sand and Gravel, Parkwood Road.
