A KITTEN suffered minor head injuries when thrown from a moving car on Wednesday along Parkes Way.

Between 11.55am and 12.15pm on Wednesday, the kitten was thrown from a moving dark grey station wagon or SUV, travelling east bound on Parkes Way, west of Clunies Ross Street.

The kitten sustained minor injuries to its head, before getting rescued by a following motorist.

Police are seeking to speak to witnesses, or anyone with dash-cam footage of the animal cruelty incident.
