From August 28, FlyPelican is introducing a return service between the national capital and Albury.
The flights will initially take to the skies until January.
The airline says the service will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays with a one-way launch fare of $179.
But in September, Qantas is scheduled to end direct flights between Canberra and Darwin.
The service was introduced in early June as a “seasonal route” for a few months in a deal with Alliance Airlines.
At the time, Outgoing Qantas boss Alan Joyce said: “More flight options were reflective of the demand… and we’re continuing to see positive signs of sustained recovery with strong travel demand.”
