Covid: Woolworths Queanbeyan ‘venue of concern’

WOOLWORTHS in Queanbeyan has been listed as a “venue of concern” following yesterday’s (September 13) confirmed covid case in Yass.

Anyone who shopped at Woolworths in Queanbeyan on September 9 between 6.40am and 6.55am or September 10 between 6.15am and 7.10am is considered to be a casual contact of the Yass case and should get tested and isolate.

Additionally anyone who visited the Alpine Hotel in Cooma between 11.52am and 12.52pm on September 4 is also considered a close contact and should also get tested.

It comes as four new cases of covid were detected in the Southern NSW local Health District (SNSWLHD) in the past 24 hours.

NSW today (September 14) recorded 1127 new locally acquired cases of COVID-19.

The Yass covid case, included in today’s numbers, prompted the Yass Valley to plunge back in lockdown overnight after just three days of eased restrictions.

SNSWLHD are yet to confirm where the other three cases within the SNSWLHD were detected.
