Man charged for drunk Gungahlin ramming

A 21-year-old Dunlop man has been charged after drunkenly ramming the Gungahlin Joint Emergency Services Centre.

At 12.50pm on Monday, the man was allegedly seen driving a white Toyota Hilux erratically in the Belconnen area, before driving to the Gungahlin Joint Emergency Services Centre and ramming through the vehicle gate at the rear of the premises.

He was arrested at the scene, and recorded a blood alcohol concentration of 0.198, almost four times the legal 0.05 limit.

His vehicle has been seized, and will be searched tomorrow.

The man has been charged with aggravated reckless driving, property damage, high-range drink driving, possessing prohibited substance and burglary.
