Speeding rider tells police ‘that can’t be right’

Motorcyclist caught at 55km/h over the speed limit.

A 59-year-old Chisholm man has told officers “he couldn’t see how that could be right” when told he was travelling at 55km/h over the speed limit on his motorcycle.

At 3.50pm on Monday, police doing speed checks on the southbound lanes of the Monaro Highway in Symonston, caught the rider travelling at 155km/h in a 100km/h zone.

The man was fined $1841 and six demerit points.
