POLICE confirmed on Thursday morning that the dead body found in Curtin late last week is missing 33-year-old Shane Watson.

Mr Watson’s body was discovered about 10.25am on Friday near the Tuggeranong Parkway adjacent to Cotter Road intersection.

Police say they are investigating the circumstances of Mr Watson’s death and how he came to be where his body was found.

Media reports last week said police had not ruled out foul play and that it was evident the body had been there for some time.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have dash-cam footage between March 26 and April 2 from vehicles:

• in the suburbs of Lyons and Curtin;
• travelling southbound on the Tuggeranong Parkway between Cotter Road and Hindmarsh Drive.

Police would also like to speak to anyone who may have had contact with Mr Watson during this same period who have not yet contacted police.
