One COVID-19 death in the ACT

A MAN in his 80s has died with COVID-19 in the ACT, bringing the total death count to 231, the first reported death this month.

ACT Health reports in its weekly update that hospital numbers are down, with 38 people in hospitals throughout Canberra this week, compared to last week’s 46.

One person is in the intensive care unit, but does not require ventilation.

In the last week, 581 cases have been reported, through 128 PCR tests and 453 RATs.

Canberra has reported 236,248 total cases since March 2020.
