Police believe there may be more victims after a man allegedly burgled an Ainslie home and attempted to break into another nearby property last week.

Police say CCTV footage shows the man entering a home about 3am on September 30, where he allegedly destroyed a barbecue and stole power tools and other items.

The man allegedly attempted to enter another nearby home before leaving the area.

Police believe further offences may be linked to the man, who was seen moving through the area between Lister Crescent and Ainslie Village that morning.

Anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area or has information that could assist the investigation is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
