Eight more charges laid against former manager

A 44-year-old former retail manager has been charged with eight more offences over alleged indecent acts involving junior employees at Belconnen stores.

The man was first charged in April over alleged offending involving two teenage employees at his O’Connor home in October 2017.

Further complainants subsequently came forward, leading to another 12 charges in July, including eight counts of an act of indecency with a person under 16, common assault and reckless threat to kill.

Following further investigations under Operation Foster, police have now charged the man with another eight counts of an act of indecency with a young person under special care.

Police allege the latest offences occurred while the man was the manager of the junior employees.
