Canberra tour guide Angie Ouyang has won bronze in the Top Tour Guide category at the 2026 Australia’s Top Tourism Town Awards.
The result follows Ouyang being named the Canberra Region’s inaugural Tour Guide of the Year earlier this year, which qualified her to represent the region at the national awards.
Ouyang joined the National Museum of Australia as a host in 2023 and leads tours for Australian and international visitors, including VIP tours. She is fluent in English, French and Chinese.
Canberra Region Tourism Industry Council managing director Debra Beetham said the bronze recognised Ouyang’s work as a guide.
The national awards were announced at Parliament House in Canberra today, with Laura Stone from Sydney by Kayak named Australia’s Top Tour Guide for 2026.
Stanthorpe in Queensland was named Australia’s Top Tourism Town, Queensland’s Airlie Beach won the Small Tourism Town category and Portsea took out the Tiny Tourism Town award.
