Second cyclist dies after Gungahlin Drive crash

A second cyclist has died following a collision between a car and a group of cyclists on Gungahlin Drive last week.

A 39-year-old man died in hospital on Thursday night after being critically injured in the August 27 collision.

A 32-year-old woman died at the scene after a blue Hyundai Accent collided with the group on Gungahlin Drive between Wells Station Drive and Kosciuszko Avenue about 6.20am.

Another cyclist was also taken to hospital following the collision.

The 39-year-old’s death is the 11th on ACT roads this year.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the collision.
