Lifeline Canberra’s Bookfair returns to EPIC this weekend as the organisation approaches its one millionth call to the 13 11 14 crisis support service.

Held three times a year, the Bookfair provides the majority of funding needed to operate Lifeline Canberra’s round-the-clock crisis support service.

Interim CEO Adam Miller said community donations and Bookfair sales allowed Lifeline Canberra to answer more calls each year.

The Bookfair will offer fiction and non-fiction books, children’s books, textbooks, magazines, comics, records, CDs, DVDs, games, puzzles and other donated items.

Entry is by gold coin donation, with proceeds supporting local crisis support and suicide prevention services.

The Bookfair will run at Exhibition Park in Canberra from 9am to 6pm on Friday, 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 9am to 4pm on Sunday.
