Three men have been arrested in a major drug investigation into a criminal group allegedly responsible for trafficking more than 70 kilograms of cocaine worth more than $10 million.

Police say the investigation has been underway since early 2025, with more than three kilograms of drugs seized during recent operations.

On Wednesday, police searched a Taylor home and vehicle, allegedly finding suspected cocaine, about $500,000 cash, a Glock-style handgun and ammunition, and items associated with drug trafficking.

A 36-year-old Taylor man was arrested and charged with offences including trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug and firearms and ammunition offences. He has been remanded in custody.

Police later searched a Throsby home, seizing suspected GHB and anabolic steroids.

A 31-year-old man was also arrested after police stopped a Mitsubishi Triton in Belconnen on Wednesday afternoon. A search allegedly uncovered a gel blaster, suspected cocaine and a mobile phone.

He has been charged with offences including unauthorised possession of a firearm, trafficking a controlled drug, unlicensed driving and possessing a declared substance without authorisation.

A second 36-year-old man was arrested in Lyneham on Thursday afternoon, with police allegedly seizing more than $1200 cash, electronic devices, a ledger detailing more than $3.3 million in liabilities, vintage sealed comic books, Pokémon cards and precious gemstones from his vehicle.

Police also seized the Toyota LandCruiser before searching the man’s Yarralumla home, where they allegedly found suspected anabolic steroids, an extendable baton and a Volkswagen Golf.

The man has been charged with trafficking a commercial quantity of a controlled drug, participating in a criminal group, recruiting people to engage in criminal activity and possessing a prohibited weapon without authorisation.

Police say the investigation is continuing and further charges are expected.
