A woman is being sought over an attempted car theft from a Denman Prospect home on Sunday, while a second woman has been arrested in Batemans Bay.

Police allege a woman broke into the home about 6.50am, stole car keys and attempted to take a vehicle parked in the garage.

A resident followed and confronted her, prompting the woman to flee in a blue Nissan Pulsar allegedly stolen from Ngunnawal the previous day and driven by a second woman.

The first woman was arrested in Batemans Bay on Monday and is being extradited to Canberra.

Police are now seeking to identify the second woman, who is described as Caucasian in appearance with a fair complexion and long white-blonde hair.

Anyone who recognises the woman or has information is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website.
