Turner man charged over alleged domestic assault

A 33-year-old Turner man has been charged after allegedly assaulting his partner on the weekend.

Police allege the man became aggressive while at his partner’s Turner home about 12pm on Sunday.

It is alleged he grabbed the woman by the neck and hair, punched her several times to the upper body and pushed her into a wall and a table.

The woman later sought medical treatment for her injuries and reported the incident to police on Thursday.

Police attended a Watson address later that night, where the man was arrested.

He has been charged with aggravated assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two counts of aggravated common assault.
