
Two men and a woman have been arrested following the alleged knifepoint theft of a vehicle in Holt and a string of violent offences across Canberra during February.
Police allege the trio were involved in multiple aggravated burglaries, car thefts and robberies — several involving knives.
Officers claim the group’s offending began about 9pm on February 5 with an alleged aggravated burglary at an Isabella Plains home, during which a safe was stolen. The safe was later found abandoned in Greenway by members of the public.

On February 10, police allege a woman exchanged stolen jewellery for cash at a Cash Converters store.
About 11.40am on February 11, a 23-year-old man allegedly attempted to enter a locked Audi S3 parked at a Kambah home before, about 3pm the same day, stealing a large postage box containing clothing from a Denman Prospect residence.
About 9.50am on February 16, a man allegedly threatened another man with a silver knife and stole his silver Volkswagen Passat from a Holt car park.
Police further allege that on February 24 a 28-year-old stole a watch and attempted to steal a mobile phone using force at a car wash while inspecting a second-hand vehicle for sale.

About 6pm the same day, a 23-year-old man allegedly threatened a vehicle owner with a hunting knife before stealing his red Volkswagen Golf. About 7.20pm, he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife while attempting to steal an Audi A4 in Wanniassa, fleeing after the woman’s son confronted him with a crowbar.
Detectives searched a Kambah home on February 12, seizing clothing allegedly worn during the offences, mobile phones, a vehicle and weapons.
About 11.30am on February 27, police observed three people in a Holden Rodeo utility in a Canberra Airport car park. The vehicle is owned by the mother of one of the group. Officers arrested all three.
- A 23-year-old woman has been charged with possessing property suspected of being proceeds of crime and riding in a motor vehicle without consent. She was granted police bail to appear in court at a later date.
- A 23-year-old man faces multiple charges including aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery, attempted aggravated robbery, theft and unauthorised entry of a motor vehicle.
- A 28-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary, unauthorised entry of a motor vehicle and contravening a requirement under a court order.
A fourth man associated with the group was arrested on February 17 and remains on remand after being charged with family violence offences including aggravated burglary and aggravated attempted assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Police say investigations are ongoing and further charges may be laid.
