A stolen SUV was allegedly driven at police and weaved through traffic at speed after officers attempted to stop it on Belconnen Way on Thursday morning.
Police said they received reports that two stolen vehicles — a silver Toyota Corolla with Victorian registration 1ZM5LD and a black Range Rover SUV with NSW registration BRARI — were in the ACT.
The Range Rover was spotted on Belconnen Way and officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver sped off.
During the pursuit, the driver allegedly drove dangerously, weaving through traffic and driving at police. At an intersection near Coombs, the Range Rover allegedly pushed another vehicle out of the way to avoid police.
The SUV was last seen in Belconnen. The stolen Toyota Corolla was later recovered in Dunlop.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the Toyota or Range Rover being driven in Canberra, or who has dash-cam footage, to come forward.
Anyone who can assist is asked to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. If the Range Rover is seen, members of the public are advised not to approach it and to call police on 131444.
