A 40-year-old Mawson man has been charged following an investigation into the alleged sexual abuse of two children at a home in Wanniassa between January 2019 and December 2020.

The matter was reported to police on January 25 this year and detectives from the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Team began an investigation.

Early on Thursday afternoon, the man attended City Police Station where he was arrested.

He has been charged with two counts of sexual intercourse with a young person, two counts of grooming a young person and two counts of committing an act of indecency against a child under 10.
