A man allegedly approached and physically interacted with a child while she was walking her bicycle on playing fields in Theodore on Tuesday morning.

Police received a report about 8.40am that the man had approached the girl near Ern Florence Crescent.

He is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a tall, slender build, brown curly hair and a beard. He was wearing black jeans and a coloured T-shirt at the time of the incident.

Police are urging anyone who can identify the man or witnessed the incident to come forward. This includes nearby residents who may have CCTV or vehicle dash-cam footage of the man before or after the incident.
