Kambah man charged over teen sex offences

A Kambah man has been charged with a string of sexual assault and child abuse material offences following allegations involving teenage girls.

Police say a woman came forward in August alleging multiple sexual offences linked to incidents said to have occurred in 2021.

Following an investigation, police searched the 36-year-old man’s home on Friday.

During the search, police seized electronic devices and will allege imagery of multiple underage females was found on two mobile phones.

The man has been charged with a range of offences, including two counts of sexual intercourse with a young person, grooming a young person, supplying cannabis to a child, five counts of using a carriage service for child abuse material, and six counts of possessing child abuse material.

Police will allege the man used the supply of cannabis as a way to contact and engage with the young women.
