Four teachers charged with assault of three boys

Police have charged four teachers following an investigation into the alleged assault of three children at a school in the Queanbeyan area.

In November, detectives from Monaro Police District began an investigation into the alleged actions of four staff members regarding the assault of three boys – aged 9, 10 and 11 – at a Queanbeyan school between January 2024 and December 2025.

Following a multi-agency investigation involving Queanbeyan detectives and officers from the Department of Community Justice (Queanbeyan) and the NSW Department of Education, four staff have been charged:

  • A 63-year-old woman, charged with one count of assault,
  • A 46-year-old man charged with three counts of assault,
  • A 65-year-old woman charged with one count of assault, and
  • A 38-year-old man charged with one count of assault.

All four are expected to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on April 21.

None of the four are currently working at the school.
