Family knife attack: woman charged with threat to kill

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested after allegedly attacking her mother and aunt with a knife in Narrabundah on the weekend.

Police say they were called to a home about 10pm on Saturday following reports a woman had attacked family members.

It’s alleged the woman attempted to stab her mother but missed, cutting her shoulder instead.

Her aunt intervened and tried to grab the knife, but police allege the woman sliced her aunt’s hand before attempting to stab her as well.

The woman left the scene before police arrived and was arrested in Lyneham on Sunday.

She has been charged with two counts of aggravated intentionally wounding a family member and one count of aggravated reckless threat to kill.
