A woman was driving north on Fairbairn Avenue when an arrow struck her vehicle and embedded in the bonnet.

The incident occurred about 7.35pm near the Majura Parkway overpass and the Defence ovals.

The woman was driving a red Toyota Corolla at the time. No injuries were reported.

Police are investigating how the arrow came to be fired or released in the area.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dash-cam footage from Fairbairn Avenue around the time is urged to contact police via the Crime Stoppers ACT website
