A 27-year-old man will is facing court after allegedly driving at police and hitting an officer when they attempted to arrest him on Friday afternoon in Fyshwick.
Officers attempted to arrest the man, who was wanted in NSW on an outstanding arrest warrant, when he left a store but he drove off, allegedly hitting one officer in the leg and driving at another.
On Saturday afternoon police found the man on the roof of a house in Ainslie. A short time later he surrendered and was arrested.
The man, who was also subject to court-ordered good behaviour obligations in the ACT, was charged with aggravated dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving while disqualified.
