Wall display of guns leads to seizure and arrest

A 39-year-old Richardson man has been charged and 13 prohibited firearms, including replicas and gel blasters, seized following police response to a disturbance on Friday night.

Police entered the residence at about 10.20pm and say officers spotted a display wall containing numerous prohibited firearms.

The owner was located at about midnight in a carpark in Wanniassa and subsequently arrested and charged with one count of unauthorised possession of 10 or more prohibited firearms. He was also subject to a good behaviour order at the time of his arrest.

Police say replica firearms, including gel-blasters, are prohibited items and it is a criminal offence to possess items such as the ones seized in this incident.
