A 56-year-old man was discovered unconscious in Watson on Saturday afternoon.
Police and paramedics were called to the Windeyer Court apartment complex on Knox Street at about 2pm to find the unconscious man at the bottom of a flight of stairs.
He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
A crime scene has been established and the police are seeking information around the circumstances that led to the man becoming unconscious.
