Man charged with threatening to kill ex-partner

A 30-year-old man has been charged after allegedly stealing a vehicle and driving to his former partner’s home, where he threatened to kill her.

Police allege the man approached another man working at a job site and spoke to him briefly before stealing his vehicle on Sunday, February 9.

Later that afternoon, the man got into a verbal and physical altercation with his former partner and threatened to kill her.

Another man attempted to intervene, but police allege he was hit on the head with a motorcycle helmet.

The accused man was ultimately arrested at about 7pm that evening.

He has been charged with intentional threat to kill, aggravated common assault, robbery, driving a motor vehicle without consent and driving while disqualified.
