Newcastle-based regional airline Fly Pelican is starting a new direct service between Canberra and Avalon Airport in Victoria from Sunday.
The airline, which operates a fleet of 19-seat Jetstream 32 aircraft across routes in NSW and the ACT, says the new service will operate three times a week – Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays. Fares start at $250 one way.
CEO Marty Hawley says: “This new service demonstrates Fly Pelican’s continued commitment to strengthening regional air connectivity. We’ve listened to our customers and are confident this route will be popular with both leisure and corporate travellers.”
