A 33-year-old Chisholm man, who was subject to parole conditions, has been charged after crashing his motorcycle while allegedly under the influence of drugs and alcohol in Calwell.
Police were called to the intersection of Webber Crescent and Were Street at 10pm on September 21 where the damaged motorcycle lay on the side of the road. The rider had fled the scene. Minutes later police located him and called an ambulance.
At the hospital, police searched the man, and seized a knife. A blood test revealed the presence of alcohol and methylamphetamine at the time of the collision.
He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs, possessing a prohibited weapon and breaching parole.
