Canberra has lost one of its recently introduced international airlines with Batik Air “pausing” its connection to Bali, citing operational changes.
The airline started flying between Denpasar and Canberra in June.
Its inaugural flight was controversial – the aviation regulator started to investigate why the plane deviated from the route, falling below altitude minimums prior to landing.
Canberra Airport says it’s disappointed – but understands the carrier has faced operational challenges.
It means only one airline – Fiji Airways – is now flying internationally into Canberra.
