A tobacconist at the Franklin shops was robbed of cigarettes by two women and a man driving a stolen car last week.
At about 2am on September 17, police allege the trio drove a white Kia SUV, which had been reported stolen, to the shop on Clare Burton Close, where the man used a crowbar to gain entry. Police say CCTV shows all three entering the store and stealing cigarettes.
Two days later, a police patrol in Narrabundah spotted the white Kia, but the driver took off. The vehicle was found alight on Parkes Way a short time later.
Following enquiries and analysis of CCTV from the business, police spoke to a 30-year-old woman and conducted a search of her home in Narrabundah.
Police say they located clothes that matched the CCTV footage and other items believed to be stolen property from a separate reported burglary.
The woman was arrested and faces charges of intent to commit theft in joint commission, joint commission of theft, riding in a motor vehicle without consent, unlawful possession of stolen property and breaching a good behaviour order.
