Police have released store video in their search for a woman who allegedly assaulted a worker and stole items from Bunnings Belconnen last month.

They say that at about 7.30pm on Sunday, December 22, the woman entered the store and attempted to take a boxed Ryobi kit. When confronted by staff, the woman engaged in a physical altercation and allegedly spat on an employee.

The woman then left the store carrying the item she did not pay for.
