A man was taken to hospital with serious leg and facial injuries after being assaulted and stabbed by a gang of teenage boys in Civic in the early hours of Sunday.
Police say that at about 2.55am on Sunday four boys had stopped on the footpath at the intersection of Cooyong Street and Batman Street when the victim and his friend approached.
One of the boys is alleged to have ridden an e-scooter into the victim, before the group grabbed him, punching him in the head. One of the boys is alleged to have stabbed the man in the leg, before the group took off on foot.
Police and emergency services arrived a short time later, and the man was transported to hospital with serious leg and facial injuries.
Yesterday afternoon, police searched the home of one of the teenagers, where they located two of the boys alleged to be involved in the incident.
A 16-year-old boy, who was subject to bail conditions at the time of the incident, has been charged with joint commission recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.
A 15-year-old boy has also been charged with joint commission recklessly inflicting grievous bodily harm.
Police are still seeking to identify the other two boys.
