The driver of a white Toyota Hilux was allegedly hit with a hammer following a road-rage incident in Weston Creek on Monday afternoon.
Police say the drivers of the Hilux ute and a White Volkswagen Amarok ute were involved in a road-rage incident while driving in the Weston Creek area.
Soon after, both vehicles travelled down Kirkpatrick Street (near the RSPCA facility) at Weston, pulling off the road and on to a dirt path.
Police say the VW driver got out of his vehicle, allegedly retrieved a hammer from the tray ute, and assaulted the Hilux driver.
The Volkswagen driver is described as being about 190cm (6’3”) tall, slim build with short grey hair, a grey moustache and he was wearing a black shirt and black pants. His vehicle had a high-visibility strip under the windows and the letters PD on the front doors.
Police are seeking dash-cam footage and anyone who witnessed the initial interactions between the two white utes as well as anyone who saw or filmed the alleged assault on Kirkpatrick Street.
