Man dies after trucks collide on the Hume

A man is dead after two trucks collided on the Hume Highway, Cullerin, about five kilometres east of Gunning, late on Friday night.

Police say the driver of one of the trucks, a man believed to be aged in his 40s, died at the scene. He is yet to be formally identified.

The driver of the second truck – a 25-year-old man – was uninjured. Police say he was taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

The Hume Highway was closed eastbound between Gunning and Cullerin; westbound lanes were unaffected.
